Architectural Services for each Project

1. Preparation and Brief

Where we set out project objectives, budget, sustainability, roles and responsibilities, schedule of services, programme of works and a payment profile

2. Surveying  

We can provide a range of surveying services including, topographical surveys, laser surveys of existing buildings, condition and structural surveys and others depending on the requirements of the project.

3. Concept Design

Sketch Design options with plans, elevations and illustrations, which provide the base for a pre -planning enquiry. We develop a risk assessment outline guide and formulate the budget and timescale. The aim of the concept design service is to finalise the project brief and provide a review the project programme, sustainability strategy, R&D elements and the construction and Health and Safety strategy.

4. Developed Design and Planning  

Coordination of planning submission to include the final design: plans elevations illustrations and design and access statement. Heritage statements for listed buildings and the submission of application to the local authority, where it is monitored closely.

5. Structural Design  

Foundation and steelwork designs are provided by our structural team and integrated into the final designs.

6. Technical Design

Building regulations drawings and submission and integration of structural design. An outline construction specification is developed in line with health and safety regulations. At this stage we review the risk assessments / sustainability / utilities and project programme. We also integrate elements of work by specialists.

7. Construction

Once we have all planning building regulations approval we tender the documents, establishing a start date on site and a review of working with specified items and suppliers. Risk Assessments are reviewed and a monitoring of programme against site work is commenced.
